LAKES AND RIDERS
Lakes and rivers throughout the area provide good chances of catching trout. In the salmon rivers you can catch larger fish as well. We therefore recommend that you ask your host, tourist info.office or local landowner before you go fishing.
Angling is restricted in certain lakes and rivers. Fishing also requies payment of the national fishing fee. Forms available at the post offices.

THE GUDDAL WATER-COURSE
Not only is there a stock of salmon consisting of big, strong fish, but there are also sea trout, freshwater trout and char. The river is a lowland watercourse with an 8.5 km salmon stretch that changes continuously from rapids to river to lakes, while flowing through some spectacularly beautiful natural surroundings. In several of the lakes on the way up the salmon stretch of the river efforts have been made in recent years to prevent overfishing. The results of these efforts can now be seen in the form of bigger and better fish and a solid stock of freshwater trout.
